ShotClean ("the App") values your privacy and data security. This policy explains how data is handled in the Android app, including the Google Play distribution.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not collect, upload, or sell your personal information.
The App processes screenshot-management data only on your device, including:
- Screenshot files (for detection, archiving, restore, and cleanup)
- The archive folder path you choose
- Local app settings (such as schedule, retention days, and notification toggles)
This data is used only for core functionality and is not transmitted to developer servers.
2. Permissions We Request
To provide core features, the App may request:
- Media access permission: to read screenshot files
- Media management permission: to remove originals from gallery after archiving, or perform restore/delete actions
- Notification permission: to send archive summaries, expiration warnings, and directory issue alerts
You can revoke permissions anytime in system settings. If revoked, related features may stop working.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
- The App does not share your photos or personal data with third parties
- The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs
- The App does not perform cross-app tracking
4. Data Storage and Retention
- All processing is performed locally on your device
- Archived screenshots are stored in the directory you choose
- Archived files are kept for 30 days by default (adjustable from 7 to 60 days), then automatically deleted
You can manually restore or delete data in the Archive section of the App.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
6. Security
We follow a data-minimization approach and only perform necessary on-device operations. Please also protect your device access and system account security.
7. Policy Changes
If this Privacy Policy changes materially, we will notify users via app updates or documentation updates.
